Noise Notification
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and other performers will begin arriving on Sunday, September 29 at Mather Airport. Please expect increased noise and air traffic intermittently from Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 3. In addition, planes will fly on Friday, October 4 from approximately 12 – 4 PM for rehearsal and Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 from approximately 12 – 4 PM for the Airshow.

Road Closures
The following roads will be closed during the event: Mather Boulevard between North Mather Boulevard and Douglas Road, Airpark Drive between Femoyer Street and Cap Rock Way, and westbound North Mather Boulevard between Mather Boulevard and Zinfandel Drive.
Bike Parking and Repair
FREE bike parking is available at the Airshow. Drop off your bike with the friendly valet near the entrance to the show, and they’ll look after it while you’re there. If you’d like a FREE bike checkup and minor repair, let them know when you drop off your bike.
We encourage you to use the following bike-friendly route to travel to the California Capital Airshow and access bike parking. Click here to download a map of the route.
- Begin your route by traveling southbound on Routier Road.
- Turn left on Systems Parkway.
- Go straight past the intersection at Old Placerville Road on Macready Avenue.
- Turn right on Neely Way.
- Turn left on Truemper Way and travel on Truemper Way until you reach bike parking.
