Complete the #RCPD9PMRoutine
To kick off the new year, RCPD is excited to launch a new campaign called the #RCPD9PMRoutine.
RCPD wants residents and businesses to add five, simple tasks to their evening routine:
- Lock your doors, windows and vehicle, and close your garage door
- Park your vehicle in your garage or in well-lit areas
- Don’t leave anything of value in your vehicle or in the front of your house
- Turn on your alarm system and keep security cameras rolling
- Turn on exterior lights
As part of its crime prevention focus, RCPD’s goal with the #RCPD9PMRoutine campaign is to partner with residents and businesses to deter crime from occurring within our city.
“The #RCPD9PMRoutine is a way to create a daily habit that will help keep you, your property and your home secure,” said Crime Prevention Specialist Tina Aldama. “By completing the #RCPD9PMRoutine, you are partnering with us to prevent crimes of opportunity from happening in our community.”
To assist with providing a daily reminder to residents and businesses, RCPD has #RCPD9PMRoutine magnets and posters available that feature the five, simple tasks. They are available for pick up at RCPD, 2897 Kilgore Road, Monday-Friday from 9 AM-5 PM. Plus, stay tuned to RCPD’s social media channels for weekly reminders!
RCPD is asking residents and business to report any and all criminal activity. To report a crime in progress or suspicious activity, call 911. To report a crime after the fact, please call our non-emergency number at 916.362.5115.
